 Full Steam Ahead 

     Steamers are hot! Not only on the market but literally. This contraption on wheels can be your best friend especially if your hair is tightly coiled which often makes it difficult for product penetration. The hot steam in this number adds moisture which moisture which allows hair to better receive product.

     Using a deep treatment? Go even deeper with the steamer. After you wash your hair, and put in a conditioner or oil treatment, you will add water (preferably distilled--fewer chemicals are better for hair and won't dirty the machine) to the steamer’s water tank and select the time you will be steaming on the keypad. People generally set the steam timer for 20-30 minutes.

     At the end of the selected cycle, At the end of the selected cycle, turn the dial to "cool" and sit under the steamer for an additional 5 minutes. The cool setting will close your hair's cuticles and lock the hair treatment in your hair.
